The holiday homes are located in the midst of the beautiful natural scenery of the Lower Gail Valley, near the Carinthian border with Italy and Slovenia, and with a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains of the Julian and Gailtal Alps and the Dobratsch Nature Park.

- Ground floor: large living / dining room, modern kitchen with dishwasher, oven and microwave

- Bathroom with (dog) shower, accessible from the garden, washing machine and infrared cabin to relax and warm the muscles, separate toilet
- Upper floor: 3 pleasant bedrooms, 2 of them with balcony, well equipped bathroom with toilet
- On request: “Floor mats” for disabled or older dogs so that they can get up more easily

A vacation for the whole family
Children are of course also very welcome in Ferienhaus Saak. On request, we can provide you with a cot and a high chair. And we are happy to give you tips on the many family-friendly leisure activities in the Gail Valley and around Villach: discover beautiful children’s playgrounds, the Carinthian adventure park for children (1. Kärnter Erlebnispark) on Lake Presseggersee or tourist attractions such as the Affenberg and the Adlerarena at Burg Landskron. You can go swimming in the summer in the Gailtaler Bergbad in Wertschach or in the adventure natural pool Vorderberg – and in winter in the KärntenTherme in Warmbad-Villach.
And if the weather does not play along, there is a large indoor playground in the Atrio shopping centre in Villach, where your offspring can really let off steam while you relax comfortably with a shopping spree.
Cosy and comfortable
A holiday in Ferienhaus Saak means rest, relaxation and carefree. Our holiday homes are designed especially comfortably for dogs and their owners and offer a pleasant, homely atmosphere.
Immediately after waking up, you can get fresh breakfast from the supermarket or the nearby organic bakery and on the terrace the beautiful view of the imposing Dobratsch, the Spitzegel and the Graslitzen in the north as well as the rugged mountains of the Julian Alps and the Dreiländereck and the Oisternig enjoy in the south. Then go on a hike with the dog, on a bike tour or maybe on a winter ski tour? You can of course take your four-legged friend with you on all activities! Or you can leave it in your holiday home for a few hours and ask us for a dog walk service (on request).
In the evening, relaxation is the order of the day: in one of the nearby restaurants (in many of them dogs are also welcome), where you can try the culinary delights of the region before enjoying a glass of wine on your terrace. And you can also enjoy falling asleep – namely, an absolutely wonderful night sky: Above the beds, the skylights are so located that you have a clear view of the stars at all times, weather permitting .
Your vacation in Nötsch im Gailtal
In the village there are three supermarkets, an organic bakery and several restaurants and cafés that can be reached on foot in a few minutes. More shops can be found in the district capital Hermagor or in nearby Villach, the second largest city in Carinthia, with the covered shopping center Atrio.
The location in the Dobratsch Nature Park makes Nötsch a cozy, very authentic place. It is home to Wasserleonberg Castle and the Nötscher Kreis Museum, among other things, and offers cultural events throughout the year: Such as the Josefimarkt, the Polentafest or the Nötscher or Saaker Kirchtag with the traditional Kufenstechen and Lindentanz.
Would you like to see your holiday home or the surrounding mountains and lakes from above? Nötsch has its own sport airfield, where sightseeing flights can be made from April to October. April and May are high season for glider pilots, who then like to take advantage of the good thermal of Nötsch’s local mountain Dobratsch.
